Borrowing Just Got Easier: New Lockers Launch at ACE

Why buy a £350 carpet cleaner when you can borrow one for £20 a week? Our new lockers at ACE, Caerau and Ely put borrowing on your doorstep, any time ACE is open. Think InPost but for borrowing: sign up, get your code, borrow, return.

These are the first community-run borrowing lockers of their kind in South Wales, and we want you there to see them in action before anyone else does.
Borrowing isn't just about saving money. It means less stuff going to landfill, fewer things sitting unused in cupboards, and more people in Cardiff sharing resources instead of duplicating them. Come along and be part of that from day one.
You'll also find our regular Benthyg Library of Things open as usual at ACE; Monday & Friday 10am - 2pm; where you can browse and borrow with the team.

What to expect on the day:

• A tour of the new lockers and a chance to try them out
• Meet the Benthyg team and find out how borrowing works
• Free first borrow voucher for all attendees
• Free lunch & refreshments provided (let us know of any dietary requirements/allergies)
• Don’t forget to bring your ID so you can sign up and borrow an item on the day

• Local people who want to save money and don't have space to store things they only need now and then
• Community groups who want to borrow equipment from the regular LoT for events and activities
• Anyone who wants to help their community while helping themselves
• Elected representatives who want to see innovative, community led approaches to reuse in action
