Sales and branding have changed dramatically over the past two decades. No longer is the salesperson the gatekeeper of information for an ignorant buyer. With the amount of information available to the consumer, the role of the salesperson has to change. We will discuss the basic concepts behind consultative selling and look at a full sales pipeline that walks a buyer through the purchase process in such a way that closure is the inevitable result.

About Tate Lundy: Tate received his bachelors in Anthropology from Southern Illinois University, followed by his Masters in Instructional Design Technology from Indiana University. He began his career at Sprint, spending 9 years as a mobile interface design lead, winning CTIA product of the year in 2009 for the Samsung Instinct.
He left Sprint in 2009 and began working at Optimation as the Vice President of Operations. Optimation was founded in 1976 by Tate’s father, Michael Lundy, to provide nesting software that creates programs to run industrial cutting machines. This product reduces wasted material and decreases the manpower needed to run a fabrication department.
Tate was brought on to help rebuild the company and adapt its offering and practices tomatch a changed market. In 2020, with the passing of Mike Lundy, Tate took over full ownership of Optimation.
