Absolute Beginner Queer Tango Series in November

We invite you to come dance queer tango with us in November – 6 classes and an optional dance.

This is a fun, no pressure class where you will learn the basics of Argentine Tango with supportive teachers. No partner or experience needed.

MORE ABOUT THE SERIES

This is a fun, no-pressure class on the fundamentals of Argentine Tango for social dancing. We start each class with the basics of walking and embrace to get everyone off to a solid start with this beautiful walking dance and then move into our theme of the month.

Each week, we will review what we covered the week prior before moving on to new concepts and material – so you will have plenty of time to practice and ask questions each week.

We recommend taking a full month-long series, but missing a class is cool too. We can catch you up during the review.

During the practice hour after class, you are welcome to stay and dance, practice, socialize and ask questions.

WE ARE a community of queer, trans, non-binary and unicorn dancers, and all kindred humans are welcome to join us.

Finnish Hall. Upstairs room. 1970 Chestnut st. Berkeley, CA. 10 min walking from N. Berk. Bart.

COST

General: 5-week series with 6 classes plus an optional practicas and a dance: $85

COVID precautions

-The room is very well ventilated: windows open, fans out

-Limited size events

-Staying up date w/ covid 19 vaccinations highly recommended
