Enjoy the Peak district in a way you never have before. Abseil off bridges, down waterfalls and through caves.
Come and join us for this once in a lifetime event and experience abseiling like never before.
Start the day with the thrill of abseiling from Millers Dale Bridge, the 90ft drop over the River Wye will give you an adrenaline boost to kick off the challenge. You'll spend the morning completing a number of different abseils to improve your skills and gain confidence. In the afternoon we'll head underground to abseil through the caves (including down a waterfall!). Dolomite training will be our expert guides on the day and will provide you with all the equipment and information you need.
Reserve your place now with a £30 registration fee (a bargain as this event would normally cost £100!) then raise a minimum sponsorship of £150. We will provide you with help and support to make meeting your fundraising target easy.
As a thank you for taking part, you can choose either a Shelter-branded T-shirt or a bobble hat to wear proudly during the challenge (and after!).
We'll meet at Millers Dale Station car park, you will need transport to access the later locations.
Please be aware that in order to access all the abseils you will need to be able to climb a ladder back up, and you will have to travel through the cave to access the underground abseils. If you have any concerns about accessibility please get in touch with us to discuss - [email protected].
Due to the nature of this event and the unpredictaibility of the British Weather, some locations may need to be changed (for example if caves are inaccessible). Fortunately, Dolomite Training have run this event many times and have backup locations to use if needed.
