Abseil for PASIC 2025

The National Lift Tower based in Northampton is an iconic feat of architecture. At a staggering 418 feet, it is now the largest abseil tower in the world.

Originally built in the 1980s as a testing facility for lifts and other specialist equipment, it has been preserved and repurposed for a range of abseil activities.

This is a group event so you'll be taking part with other brave PASIC fundraisers, with the PASIC Team cheering you on. Family and friends are welcome to come and watch.

You'll receive a PASIC fundraising pack, including t-shirt and help with setting up your fundraising page.

Weather-permitting you will abseil down the outside of the lift tower, enjoying the amazing views. Should we be unable to abseil outside due to weather limitations then the abseil will take place down the inside of the lift tower, which is an equally thrilling adventure.

Fundraising options:

T here are two fundraising options available when booking your abseil.

1. Minimum sponsorship - if you select this option all you have to pay is the £20 non-refundable registration fee. However you must commit to raising a minimum sponsorship amount of £250.
2. Pay for the abseil yourself - if you select to self-fund the abseil it means every penny you raise in sponsorship comes to PASIC. The total cost is £120. To reserve your place you must first pay the £20 non-refundable registration fee. We will then be in touch to arrange payment of the remaining £100. Payment will need to be received in full by January, however we can discuss payment plan options if required. If you self-fund the abseil there is no minimum sponsorship required but you'll still receive full support with your fundraising.

Age and weight restrictions:

The minmum age to take part is 12. For safety reasons you must also weigh no more than 136kg (21st 5lb)
