A 2016 Pew Research study and a 2022 Gallup poll both reported that the average American reader reads 12 books a year. Are you above average?
Read and record 13 books this year through Beanstack, and the Library will officially recognize you as an Above Average Reader. Earn an Above Average Tote Bag your first year completing the challenge to carry home even more books to read (and more importantly, to let everyone know of your Above Average-ness). For each additional year you complete the challenge, you’ll receive a collectible Above Average button to showcase your continued Above Average status.

Above Average Reader Guidelines:
* Books that you read for the Above Average Reader challenge can also be used for other library reading challenges.
* All titles should be books that you finished reading between January 1, 2026 - December 31, 2026.
* Prizes must be picked up by January 31, 2027.
*All books are books! Audiobooks, ebooks, graphic novels, re-reads, assigned reading, book club books: they all count.
