Able to Run Club - All Abilities & Levels of Fitness
About this Event
Welcome to our Able to Run Club!
Our practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Come run with us at WakeMed Soccer/Cross Country Park. Lace up your sneakers and get ready to hit the trails with others who like their exercise outdoors! Whether you're already a runner or just wanting to ease into it, you are invited!
Every Participant Belongs—In Their Own Way
Not everyone runs the same distance—or the same pace.
Some participants prefer shorter bursts of movement with time to rest and connect. Others enjoy longer stretches.
What matters is that each person is supported in a way that works for them—and has the opportunity to contribute to the group.
Often, it’s those unique strengths that make the experience meaningful for everyone.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to embrace the new season and get active outdoors!
Why Families Come BackWhat We’ve Seen
Participants often surprise themselves.
One student found that as he ran, his speech became clearer and more expressive—something his family had been working toward for years.
Others build confidence simply by showing up, moving at their own pace, and forming connections with their buddies.
Every experience is different—but growth is always possible.
For some participants, Able to Run becomes more than an activity—it becomes part of their weekly rhythm.
One young woman now travels 45 minutes each way to attend, because it’s one of the few places she feels truly connected to peers her age.
That sense of belonging—and having something to look forward to—can make a meaningful difference in both emotional well-being and daily life.
Mark your calendars and get ready to start running with us!
