Abeng Community Garden: Open Garden & Volunteer Days
About this Event
Join us at The Abeng Garden, a Black women-led community growing space in Deptford, Lewisham.
Our monthly volunteer days are open to everyone. Each session is a chance to help tend and build the garden, learn about what's growing, connect with others, and spend time in green space.
Tasks vary by session and may include planting, weeding, bed maintenance, harvesting, composting, and general garden upkeep. No experience is needed.
Herbal tea and good company provided.
What to bring:
Weather appropriate clothing you don't mind getting dirty, sturdy footwear, and a water bottle and cup or mug for tea. Gloves and tools are provided.
Who are we?
