Abbie Thomas & The Crazy Hearts return to Ignition Music Garage for a special concert; their only hometown show of 2026, and their last performance before heading to Nashville for the 2026 Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry.The band will perform music from Abbie’s award-winning catalogue alongside new material from Live From the Temple, their first official collaborative project as a group. Released in April 2026, the visual album and accompanying short film were created during a unique live studio session, where the four musicians recorded new material together in front of a small audience. The result captured the spontaneous chemistry, dynamic interplay, and improvisational spirit that have become hallmarks of their live performances.That new chapter has already earned major recognition. Abbie has received 14 total Josie Music Award nominations, including Artist of the Year, Vocalist of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year, while The Crazy Hearts have received four nominations together for Group of the Year (Multi-Genre), Album of the Year for Live From the Temple, Best Musical Film for Live From the Temple, and Performance Music Video of the Year for “Stoopin’ Low.”The Josie Music Awards are the world’s largest independent and multi-genre awards program, with the 2026 ceremony taking place September 20 at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry.Adding to an already significant year, Abbie was recently invited to join The Recording Academy as a Voting Member, giving her a voice in the GRAMMY® Awards nominating and voting process alongside fellow music creators and industry professionals. Musical director, Simon Kauffman Hurst, has also earned his own nomination from the JMA’s for piano player of the year.Thomas and her live backing band, The Crazy Hearts, blend retro soul, jazz, contemporary R&B, and blues into a sound rooted in timeless American songwriting.Fronted by genre-bending singer-songwriter Abbie Thomas, whose “...ageless vocal, sitting somewhere between Diana Ross and Kacey Musgraves” was praised by Paul Jackson of FATEA, the ensemble features pianist and musical director Simon Kauffman Hurst, bassist Isaac Fisher, and drummer Arthur Schroeder.
