About this Event
We are excited to invite you to a symposium hosted by the Ladders to Cures Scientific Accelerator (L2C) and sponsored by Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD): AAV Seropositivty & Gene Therapy.
This hybrid all-day event will be held on Thursday, November 14th, 2024 from 8:30AM - 5:30PM ET in the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard's Merkin Auditorium and streamed online at broad.io/watchAAV.
The event is free and open to the public. Anyone with an interest in this topic is invited to attend, participate, and exchange ideas with our fantastic lineup of speakers and panelists, including Annie Ganot, Kathy High, Federico Mingozzi, Klaudia Kuranda, Brian Long, Roberto Calcedo, Juliette Hordeaux, Sharon McGonigle, Wendy Heywood, Carsten Bonnemann, Shari Gordon, Alison Keeler, Giuseppe Ronzitti, Nicolas Giovannone, Barbara Sullivan, Barry Byrnes, Andre Limnander, Ben Deverman, Aravind Asokan, Jim Wilson, and Peter Marks.
Our goal is to advance the field of AAV gene therapy by identifying and addressing scientific hurdles that hinder the development of safe and effective treatments for patients with immunologic memory of AAV capsid. Specifically, this symposium aims to:
- Discuss the latest research findings on AAV serology and immune responses.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current strategies to overcome AAV seropositivity
- Identify critical research gaps and prioritize future research directions to accelerate the development of AAV gene therapy for seropositive populations.
- Foster collaboration among researchers and clinicians in academia, government, and industry partners to accelerate progress in this field.
