Aaron Irwin Jazz Trio

The Aaron Irwin Trio brings together saxophonist, clarinetist, and composer Aaron Irwin with guitarist Mike Baggetta and drummer Bill Campbell. The group’s sound prioritizes melody, space, and texture, blending chamber-like intimacy with Americana rooted language and modern improvisation. Irwin’s writing favors clear song shapes and open forms that invite genuine interaction between musicians and listener.

The trio’s debut album Wobegon (2018, Fresh Sound New Talent) introduced their intimate, song forward approach, followed by (after) (Adhyâropa Records, 2024), which refined that language through unhurried themes and immersive ensemble sound. Their newest release, Spark (Adhyâropa Records, 2026), expands the trio’s palette with greater dynamic range, blues and folk influenced melodic language, and subtle sonic coloration. The trio has toured extensively throughout the United States, including an elevencity tour in August 2025.
