Aarhus Hot City Revisited or Mods’n’Skins Unite

Back in the days these three geezers were enemies or at least they should have been. In reality they were actually friends - the two mods and the skinhead.
They were DJ’s at the same clubs in Aarhus Hot City spinning a lot of the same tunes. 40 years on they’re still friends and behind the decks. Now added a wider variety of music - one still in the old town and the other two now in Copenhagen for a lifetime.
On this night they will unite again for the first time in more than 35 years - the three kings, princes and lords of Aarhus - DJ’s Sonnyboi, SoulAnders and Lord Gravenice Esq.
DJ Sonnyboi (Aarhus) - native born and raised working class hero. Became a disco king as a boy in the 70’ies but ended up in punkrock and became an original skinhead. All that and more Sonnyboi brought him into DJ’ing which means you can expect alot when he’s on deck….
DJ SoulAnders (Cph) - a very well established name in Copenhagen and elsewhere. Brought up as a young Mod in the 80’ies with great taste and ears for everything groovy especially when it comes to jazz and soul, and still loves a good beat from the swinging 60’ies.
DJ Lord Gravenice Esq. (Cph) - basically a pophead growing up on british beat and punkrock, becoming a young mod brought him into the sweet world of garagerock more than 4 decades ago. Still enjoys almost anything from the great 60’ies including soul, beat, acid jazz and the latest addition French YéYé and the likes. Resident DJ at Lygtens Kro.
Combined these three amigos will make you dance! Expect loads of great sounds from the 60’ies and a some 70’ies - soul, beat, yéyé, jazz, freakbeat, mod and probably some ska-music. Everything this night will be magnificent and you will too - nothing more, nothing less!
