AAI 5 C's Traveling Teacher Workshop
About this Event
Teachers, come explore Arizona’s historic 5 C’s—Cotton, Cattle, Copper, Citrus, and Climate in Maricopa County. These industries helped shape Arizona’s economy and continue to play an important role in our state today.
During this immersive workshop, participants will hop on a bus and visit working farms and agricultural operations, meet industry professionals, and gain firsthand insight into how Arizona agriculture connects to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Each stop will highlight one of the 5 C’s while showcasing real-world applications that can be brought directly into the classroom.
Educators will leave with classroom-ready lessons, hands-on activity kits, educational resources, and industry contacts to help students make meaningful connections between agriculture, STEM, and Arizona’s economy. This workshop will provide practical tools and experiences to engage students in learning about the systems that support our communities and food supply.
Traveling far? No worries! We offer travel assistance reimbursment to teachers traveling out of county. Fill out this simple application to receive travel assistance.
