The drama series "Aadab Main Premchand Hoon," directed by Mr. Mujeeb Khan, has been recognized for two world records.
Mr. Mujeeb Khan, a senior theater director with a deep connection to the literature of Munshi Premchand, is globally renowned for his work. His drama series ‘Adaab Main Premchand Hoon’ has been acknowledged and registered for two world records. On Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 7:30 pm at Shakantalam Studio, Adarsh Nagar Andheri, three plays by Munshiji, "Aadhaar ", “Khauf - E - Ruswai” and “Mubarak Bimari”, will be staged under the banner "Aadab Main Premchand Hoon”. Mr. Khan, who has been dedicated to bringing Munshi Premchand's literature to the stage for the last 20 years, has so far directed and staged 314 out of 315 stories, for which his name is recorded in the "Limca Book of Records" and the "World Wide Book of Records." Both these plays have been directed by Mr. Mujeeb Khan and are being presented by his academy "IDEA."
The knowledge of Munshi Premchand's literature is now limited to a few people, most of whom consider only some of Munshiji's stories as his complete work. "IDEA" aims to stage the complete stories of Munshiji with honesty and dedication, and we need to know all the stories and bring them to the fans of Munshiji. This year, on Munshiji's birthday, IDEA created a new record in the world by presenting 22 of his stories in 22 Indian languages. Recently, a program was organized to honor Mr. Khan for his contribution to languages by St. Xavier's College, Mumbai.
Munshi Premchand's specialty lies in his comprehensive portrayal of life, relationships, animals, and farmers, and his bold critique of the British government. Even when his collection "Soz - E- Watan" was burnt by the British, he changed his name and continued to raise his voice against their oppression. He fought oppression with his pen and inspired his readers to stand up against injustice.
