Where did henna come from? The answer might surprise you! Learn about the historical, cultural, and artistic uses of henna in communities around the world in this program.In this program, participants are taken on a tour around the world, making stops to explore each location’s history through the lens of this ancient art.
Participants will be introduced to the varied capacities that henna has been adopted by cultural communities around the globe, and how its use -- from medicinal application to the ever-popular body art -- has evolved over thousands of years.
This program incorporates geography, cultural studies, history, and art appreciation seamlessly, and is ideal for those young learners who have an interest in travel, art, and cross-cultural experiences.
