The Anacostia Arts Center is proud to return for Art All Night DC on September 11th — the citywide celebration of creativity and culture presented by the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities.
This isn't new for us. Art All Night is something AAC shows up for every year, because we believe in this community and what a night like this means for Anacostia. And even with our building mid-renovation ahead of our February 2027 reopening, that commitment doesn't change. We're still here, still open, still celebrating alongside our neighbors.
Afro House: Go-Go to West Africa is an exploration of Black sonic history in DC and across the diaspora. Marathon DJ sets from DC's own Native Sun, over a decade deep in the District's dance floors, and Ghana's award-winning DJ Sly King. Hip Hop, Go-Go, Afrobeats and Highlife intersect live. Live West African drums all night, so the groove never stops.
Multimedia projections show the people and places that make local arts and culture what it is. Expect a marketplace in partnership with The Finer Life, with one of a kind finds from Crate Convention regulars.
