AAC with Alma & Me will be doing storytime at Bee Me Sensory Gym featuring Elyse Moore, SLP and owner of Naturally Empowered Speech-Language Services. Storytime will start at 10:00 am then families are invited to play for free during open gym till 11:00 am. Families can also explore other low tech AAC opportunities Bee Me has to offer during storytime and play.What is AAC With Alma and Me?
AAC with Alma & Me is an inclusive social group centered on connecting children and families who use
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) through adapted story times, group activities, and social connection. Our group was inspired by Alma, a sign language and AAC user, to build a community of AAC users, advocates, and allies.
• Led with an ASHA certified speech language pathologist.
• Open to all children, including those with or without developmental delays.
• AAC experience is not required to participate. All are welcome!
• AAC devices and low-tech core boards available at each story time to explore.
