This dish of stewed fava beans is one of Egyptβs oldest and most widely eaten foods, dating back to Pharaonic times. Ful medames is a national staple, eaten for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and sold by street vendors throughout the country. Demonstration with sampling included.
