Perhaps one of the most infamous grimoires ever written, the Lemegeton, also referred to as the Key of Solomon, outlines complicated methods of conjuring and compelling certain spirits to serve the will of the conjuror. For many, the sheer complexity of the ritual structures prescribed in these texts make working with these powers incredibly unattainable, but that doesn't keep the astute Witch from finding a way to incorporate these aspects into their magic.
If you find yourself drawn to the oddities of the Key of Solomon, but unsure where to begin studying it, you may want to join this virtual workshop! Some of our discussion items include:
- An overview of the 5 books that make up the Key: Ars Goetia, Ars Goetia, Ars Theurgia, Ars Paulina, Ars Almadel, and Ars Notoria
- The Story of King Solomon and his biding of the 72 spirits
- Odd examples of the spirits working their way into traditional folk magic
- Overviews of the full conjuring as outlined in the manuscript
- Modern theories explaining how and why the manifestation of the spirits can occur.
