Some pets leave paw prints on our hearts that never fade. They’re there in our favorite memories, in the little things that remind us of them, and in the love we carry long after we have to say goodbye.

A Walk to Remember was born from the love and loss of my own sweet golden retriever, Daisy, whose memory continues to inspire my mission to help animals in need.

But this walk is about more than one dog. It’s about every beloved pet who has left paw prints on our hearts, the memories we carry with us, and the love that never truly leaves us.

Whether you're walking in memory of a pet you’ve lost, bringing your own four-legged best friend, or walking alongside a shelter pup still waiting for a family, you are part of something meaningful. Together, we can honor the ones we’ve loved while making a difference for the animals who still need us.

🤍 WALK IN THEIR MEMORY

We invite you to bring a photo of the beloved pet you’re walking for! We’ll have a special memory board at the event where you can add their picture as a tribute.

🐾 DON’T HAVE A DOG TO BRING? WE’VE GOT YOU!

Dogs from our local animal shelter will be joining us, and you’ll have the opportunity to take a shelter pup along on the walk! Shelter dogs will be available to walk with attendees as arrangements allow.

🌼 WHAT TO EXPECT

• A meaningful community walk honoring the pets who will never be forgotten
• A memorial board where you can display a photo of the pet you’re walking for
• An opportunity to walk alongside your own dog or a shelter pup
• A chance to connect with fellow animal lovers and support animals in need
• Community activities and opportunities to give back to our local shelter

Admission is FREE! Registration helps us plan for attendees, supplies, and event activities. Donations and sponsorships support our mission, with proceeds benefiting Friends of the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center.

A NOTE ABOUT THE TRAIL: This walk takes place on a natural, unpaved trail with uneven terrain. Please wear comfortable, sturdy footwear and consider the terrain when deciding whether the route is suitable for you and your dog.
