About this Event
Our visit explores the history and architecture of the Grade One listed Synagogue in Liverpool's Princes Road. You will hear how it has served the Liverpool Jewish Community since 1750 and how they wish to ressurect their heritage listed cemetery in Deane Road.
As well as a chance to explore, there will be a general introductory talk followed by a screening of their film on Deane Road Heritage Cemetery.
With plenty of opportunity to ask questions, and the inclusion of refreshments in the ticket price of £8, this tour represents a significant saving on the normal price of tours of the synagogue. We are grateful to the Liverpool Jewish Community for welcoming us to their beautiful synagogue and organsing a special visit for Merseyside Civic Society members and their guests.
Please arrive by 1:50 to check in with your MCS host.
The synagogue is largely accessible.
