A Vision for the Planet š A Multimedia, Music, and Visual Experience by Composer Jim Scott. Mixing powerful songs and images, Jim Scottās melodies and poetry celebrate whatās beautiful, amazing, and fragile on our planet Earth.
About the Concert: A Vision for the Planet will take you on a journey that will take you from concern to celebration -- from protest to motivation -- to sustain life on our living earth. Jimās melodies and lyrics and poetry will give something to celebrate about whatās beautiful, amazing, and fragile about our Earth. The performance is a timely educational, entertaining, and upbeat program that both adults and children will enjoy, while introducing the audience to many different ethnic rhythms and styles that will keep you on tapping your toes. There are many views of the living earth and of the people who inhabit it and there will be no mention of politics -- just beautiful and poignant celebrations of the place we call we call home!
About the Performer: Jim Scott is a world renown songwriter, musician (guitarist), and balladeer! He has collaborated with the Paul Winter Consort, where is was co-composer of their celebrated Missa Gaia/Earth Mass and sang their anthem song Common Ground. He has toured the world, recorded nine CDs of original music and published a growing line of choral works. Jim is also well known to Unitarian Universalists for his anthem "Gather the Spirit" and many other songs. He has also helped create the Earth and Spirit Songbook, an anthology of 110 songs of Earth by many contemporary composers. Jim plays a monthly āFirst Wednesdaysā concert on Facebook and YouTube, and regularly creates posts of his musings and songs at JimScott.Substack.com.
