We are pleased to welcome back aviation historian Raymond Fordyce as guest speaker for our November 6th meeting. A veteran, Ray went to West Point, is a pilot and is the author of numerous articles and essays and speaks around the country on military and aviation-related topics. Ray also was a historical/technical advisor to the recent Steven Spielberg/Tom Hanks TV series, “Masters of the Air.” He currently serves as Chairman of the Cobb County Civil Service Board.
His presentation is entitled “A Veterans Day Tribute.” This presentation honors all those who have served in the US armed forces, from the American Revolution to the present day. It will share some little-known facts about the historical origins and evolution of the holiday as well as the sacrifices made by those veterans it celebrates.
