In early 2020, filmmaker Xiaorui and his team revisit an unfinished project from their indie filmmaking days, only to be interrupted by the COVID-19 outbreak. As they attempt to complete the film, crew members fall ill, and strict quarantine measures take over, adding stress and loss of control. Over time, they face not only the virus but also police pressure and isolation, which weigh heavily on them. Chinese filmmaker Lou Ye, known for his bold storytelling, captures this intense experience with a unique style, blending docufiction with modern cell phone footage to tell a raw, pandemic-era story.
