Intersections Concert Series Presents Mitchum Yacoub & Divina Jasso

Mitchum Yacoub and Divina Jasso are young San Diego musicians doing big band afrobeat and cumbia with soul and power. Yacoub is an Egyptian-American multi-instrumentalist, producer, and DJ with a lifelong passion for drumming and supporting various projects in afrobeat, soul, funk, dub, and rocksteady genres, he has developed a unique feel for roots and dance music. Jasso is the lead singer & front woman of San Diego band Boostive, and her style is influenced by Latin jazz, soul, reggae, hip hop and R&B.

Damian DeRobbio will host and conduct a Q&A with Yacoub and Jasso after their performance.
