A Tribute to Thelonious Monk: Trevor Galvin w Kendrik McKinney Trio

Join us at Round Midnight in Edmond on Sunday, January 12th! Experience a night of swangin' local jazz honoring the legendary Thelonious Monk! We'll feature world class Oklahoma saxophonist Trevor Galvin!

Thelonious Monk, also know as "The High Priest of Bop", was one of America's most highly influential jazz musicians. His piano playing and approach to harmony was unlike any other. We'll play many of his compositions, including the records with the great saxophonist Charlie Rouse. The band will be joined by innovative saxophonist Trevor Galvin. Trevor is a powerhouse musician in all styles, with a unique sound only produced by him. You do not want to miss this high energy show honoring Monk! Hosted by Kendrik McKinney on piano, with his trio of Rei Wang-Bowen, and drummer David Bowen swangin’ all evening. Come out and support America’s music!
