Merle Haggard was born on April 6, 1937 his career in music had spanned six decades and thirty-eight number one hits. He passed away, ironically, on April 6, 2016, 79 years to the day of his birth. Now ten years later, The Driftwoods, along with some very special guests, will celebrate his memory with a night of some of Haggard’s best loved songs.
The Driftwoods have been well regarded as one of the most authentic and pure country bands in the upstate New York region. The band features, John Thompson (lead guitar and vocals), Jody Taylor (bass and vocals), John DeMaille (pedal steel guitar), Adrian McCloskey (drums), Rob Roman (piano and keyboards) and Jason Wicks (acoustic guitar and vocals).
