The Greater Oneonta Historical Society (GOHS) will hold our 19th Postcard, Book, & Ephemera Show & Sale on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 10am to 3:30pm. This year’s Show & Sale will be held in the Social Room at Elm Park Methodist Church at 401 Chestnut Street. Admission is free as is parking in the church lot.
GOHS and more than a dozen additional vendors will have books, ephemera, and postcards for sale, including vintage Oneonta postcards. Among the ephemera offered, there will be vintage sports cards, stereo cards, postage stamps, magazines, posters, maps, art, and much more. There will also be a Silent Auction.
At the show, there will be a rare opportunity to view two very special items on loan for the day. One is a quilt with a railroad theme made by Gilbertsville artist Alberta Hutchinson (1940-2021). The other is an original lithograph of Andersonville Prison by Thomas O'Dea (1848-1926), a Union solder in the Civil War who was a prisoner at Andersonville. The City of Oneonta is the longtime owner of this lithograph.
Coffee, tea, and donuts will be available for sale.
To volunteer, for more information, or if you are a prospective vendor, please contact Bob Brzozowski ([email protected]; 607-431-9509) or Bill Pietraface (607-432-1385; [email protected]). Tables and chairs are included in the vendor fee.
