About this Event

Duke Ellington has more than 2000 works to his credit including such well known standards as Satin Doll, Don’t Get ‘Round Much Anymore, In a Mellow Tone, Lush Life and more. Ellington earned many awards during his lifetime. Of special note, he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1969 (highest civilian award in the US) and a posthumous Special Pulitzer Prize in 1999 for his lifetime contributions to music and culture.

Jazz Nebula’s Quartet features Kim Szabo (piano vocals) and John Reid (saxophone, flute, and clarinet).
