We are living in a highly complex, highly technological world, at a time when all regions of the world are interconnected in a way that has changed dramatically over the last seventy years. This lecture will aim to provide a brief overview of our present world, the current key countries and blocks, and some of the main geopolitical elements at play in the world today.
