A Time of Giants: Art of the Italian Renaissance (Lecture Series)
About this Event
It’s summer and we are going Italy!!! Well, taking a visual art history journey through the Italian Renaissance to be exact. Please join Executive Director and resident Art Historian Preston Metcalf as he guides us back to a time of giants, the artists and thinkers that transformed the world with their art: Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael, Titian, and so many more. Together these creators transformed the way we look at the world — and ourselves — and in so doing, gave us some of the most spectacular art ever created. It was a time of giants, and we are going to celebrate their magnificent legacies.
