This meeting will be held in person. We'll either meet out front on the patio OR indoors, depending on weather and road noise. The topic can be changed at the beginning of the meeting by attendees if desired. 21+, no pets
WHO should attend?
Anyone that wants to think about interesting topics, discuss them, or even just soak in the conversation in a safe, friendly environment is welcome. We are not experts; we are average people that want to be challenged in how we think. We want people from all walks of life, with differing perspectives, to join in the discussion. 21+, no pets
WHAT are we discussing?
Often the topic will be broad in scope. The group will decide where to take the discussion. Topics range from philosophical questions to social issues. Everyone that wants to talk will have the opportunity to do so. Listening is also participation, so don't feel uncomfortable if you don't want to talk. At each meeting, someone will moderate the discussion, helping us focus on our chosen subject.
HOW are we going to keep things interesting?
Every month, the topic will be selected by votes from a poll posted on Facebook. Occasionally there might a series of related topics that span from one meeting to the next. Sometimes we’ll provide a video or some text meant to inspire discussion, but watching or reading ahead will never be required for participation. If preparing makes you more comfortable, please do. If not, then that’s just as fine.
The meeting topic will be posted on the Facebook page.
WHEN and WHERE will we meet?
7 p.m. on the first Monday of each month; meetings occurring during a holiday week may be scheduled for the second Monday of the month. Kru on Mt. Meigs is usually the meeting location.

Beer, wine, and other non-alcoholic drinks are available, but please don't feel like you must purchase anything to attend. Feel free to bring your own non-alcoholic beverages and/or snacks, or just bring yourself. See less
