Join me for an evening inspired by the flavors, traditions, and spirit of Hawaii as we create one of my family's favorite desserts, Chocolate Haupia (Coconut) Cake.
With both of my parents raised in Hawaii, Hawaiian food and traditions have always been woven into our family's story. Chocolate Haupia (Coconut) Cake has become one of our favorite family desserts, bringing back memories of family, aloha, and the islands we love.
As someone who learns best by watching, I love teaching the little techniques that help build confidence in the kitchen. During this guided baking experience, you'll watch the entire process from start to finish while learning practical tips and techniques you can confidently recreate at home.
While one cake bakes, I'll demonstrate how to assemble, fill, frost, decorate, slice, and beautifully serve the finished cake so you can confidently recreate the entire process at home. Throughout the evening, you'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, take notes, and learn the little details that make all the difference.
You'll enjoy a slice of Chocolate Haupia (Coconut) Cake paired with a refreshing Hawaiian-inspired beverage while you relax, connect with others, and experience a little taste of Hawaii.
Before you head home, we'll end the evening by folding a simple origami crane, a meaningful keepsake symbolizing hope, peace, and good fortune that you can take home as a reminder of the memories we created together.
You'll leave with the recipe, practical baking tips, decorating techniques, serving tips, and the confidence to recreate this beautiful dessert for your own family and friends.
