Join Maya's Club, in collaboration with Big Maya’s Jerk, for a FREE interactive cookery workshop that celebrates diversity through food, music, and conversation. This hands-on cooking session will introduce you to the vibrant flavours of Afro-Caribbean cuisine, guiding you in preparing delicious dishes while engaging in meaningful cultural exchange.
Participants will cook alongside Maya, dance to lively music, and explore the importance of community and heritage. A special segment on hate crime will be delivered by the North Yorkshire Police, offering insights into building safer, more inclusive communities and addressing unconscious bias.
Expect a blend of cultural flavours, culinary skills, and valuable dialogue in a warm, inclusive setting. Whether you’re passionate about cooking, eager to learn about diverse cultures, or interested in social issues, this workshop offers something for everyone.
