Join Celeste Drum & Dance for a crash course in Arabic percussion as we explore three beloved instruments from the Arab world: the darbuka, frame drum (daff), and riqq. These are staple instruments in Arabic music, from classical music to pop music.
In this introductory workshop, we’ll learn the basic strokes and techniques of each drum and get a feel for each one's unique personality. Explore how these drums work together, find the one that speaks to you, and experience the joy of playing as part of an ensemble.
