Join us for a special storytime on Saturday, September 12th at Ten Trees Books, as author Megan Jones joins to share her book, “A Sticky Day in Boston Town: A (mostly) true tale of the Great Molasses Flood”. Megan will also be sharing a fun word search, molasses taffy, and signing books!
A giant wave of molasses crashes through Boston's North End and Maggie McMarbles is right in the middle of it.
Inspired by the unbelievable true story of the Great Molasses Flood of 1919 this sweetly chaotic adventure follows one girl's race to save her grandmother's treasured recipe book before the sticky syrup swallows it whole.
Funny fast-paced and wonderfully weird because sometimes history is stranger than fiction.
