A Spring Gel Plate Printing Workshop w/Jennifer Penick

Collect some leaves or flowers and join instructor Jennifer Wilkin Penick for 2 hours of gel plate printing. Jennifer will start with some basic gel plate printing as a warm-up and then share some interesting and less-known ways to create art with the gel plate.

These will include using leaves but also hand-cut stencils, You'll leave the workshop with a series of unique monoprints with your favorite one matted and ready to frame. All materials provided and this workshop is good for all levels.

Jennifer studied studio art as an undergraduate student and earned an MA in (Italian) Art History. Her artwork has been exhibited in Rome, Italy; Portland, Oregon; Arlington, Virginia; and Washington, DC. In addition to being a practicing artist, she teaches at the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington and has been a Visual-Artist-in-Residence with MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's Arts & Humanities Program since 2018.
