Janice Bangs is a Kirkland native and UW alum whose career spans 30 years as a producer and on-air talent for the regional KATU talk show AM Northwest. During her tenure, she produced and hosted segments, interviewed bestselling authors, and learned how powerful a good story can be, especially when it sparks curiosity.

Janice is excited to transition from the world of TV storytelling to the world of children's books, sharing nature-inspired tales that bring humor, heart, and real science while encouraging early literacy.

Fun facts: Janice's first job was as a library page at Kirkland Public Library, and she worked at the University Bookstore in her college years!
