We are happy to welcome back David Carpenter from A Sense of Place who will be joining us as the expert at this the sixth winter wellbeing walk at Cliffe Castle Park.IMPORTANT ⭐Places are limited and booking is essential please email Val [email protected] to book your space.⭐
This slow walk highlights how important the sense of sound is to our wellbeing. How it grounds and connects us to a sense of place, the people we know, memories and experiences, or the nature around us, the seasons.
Walk leader Val Preston - Truly Essential Wellbeing, will guide you around the whole wellbeing route. We will experience a outdoor Tai Chi warm up, gateway exercise session prior to the walk, also included a easy to learn calming mindful breathing session to relax and regulate breathing, this relaxed state will enhance the whole experience.
David is a sound artist, he will show you how to record sounds on your mobile phone or similar recording device. Very useful for nature ID or to use as a audio reminder of your walk.
This is a great activity to do with your community group, friends and family, walks become a whole new sensory experience which elevates nature connectedness, enjoyment and improves feelings of wellbeing.
You can take part in the activities or do the walk your way, just enjoy the wonderful green space and timeout in nature.
This outdoor walk is for adults only, we will be walking off footpaths, in the woodlands and grassed areas please wear suitable footwear walking boots/wellingtons/trainers. Please dress for the weather waterproofs may be required.
