A Soulful Dinner

February is National Black History Month. It "serves as both a celebration and a powerful reminder that Black history is American history, Black culture is American culture, and Black stories are essential to the ongoing story of America — our faults, our struggles, our progress, and our aspirations." While the celebration "serves to highlight the importance of Black history in understanding American history and culture, and "showcases their resilience and achievements despite systemic racism and oppression," "observing the month encourages a .... broader narrative of U.S. history." This overall event is designed to help foster understanding and relations needed for a brighter and a more successful future. Simply, it gives all an opportunity to honor Black History Month 2025 through a delicious meal, comraderie, and a relaxing atomsphere. Fun and joy are expected for all. A deletable, inspiring and educational documentary of African American history and culture in short and brief segments will be availalble. The event is free and opened to all.
