A Slurptember to Remember

Slurps up at the Counter Culture Coffee Training Center in Atlanta!! Join us on September 4th at 5:30pm for an unforgettable evening of flavor experiences.

Pre-registration to compete opens here on Eventbrite Friday August 21st at 1pm EST. There are 10 open spots for pre-registration. In order to sign up, you will need a code to unlock registration. The code can be found below, in the Q&A section or on the event flyer.

The ten remaining spots will be open for on-site registration at the event. There is no waitlist.

We will have epic prizes for the Slurp Champion, like a custom 1-of-5 EK 43 grinder from Mahlkonig and a Cafe2 from ColdPerk as well as other prizes, raffles, and fun things throughout the night.

A Slurptember to Remember is a palate development competition where competitors go through three rounds of exercises to determine who will be the Slurp Champion.

Doors Open: 5:30pm

First Slurp: 6:00pm

Competitors have 20 minutes to cup 8 coffees and identify their origin. Competitors will be given an origin bank of possibly countries where the coffees are from. A point will be awarded for each correct answer. Note-taking is encouraged.

Competitors will have 15 minutes to taste 6 brewed coffees: 2 espressos, 2 hot filter coffees, and 2 cold coffees brewed with a ColdPerk. These 6 coffees are selected from the 8 coffees in the previous round. Competitors are encouraged to use their notes from the previous round.

Competitors can earn 2 points: 1 point for correctly guessing the brewed coffee's origin and an additional point for matching the brewed coffee to the cupping table.

Competitors will have 10 minutes to taste 5 mystery solutions. These will be flavors from the Counter Culture Coffee Flavor Wheel. Competitors will be awarded 3 points for every correct guess.
