Textbooks are boring, and learning a language behind a screen detaches us from what actually matters: connection. The Trek Nectar Culture Co-Op is changing that.
Join the Trek Nectar Culture Co-Op for an intimate, immersive Italian language experience at Dodici in Sacramento. Think of it as a lively, hands-on workshop designed to give you the confidence to navigate a true Italian dining experience.
Led by our Italian Ambassador Alice, you’ll learn the essential phrases, cultural nuances, and correct pronunciations for dining out. Once you've mastered the basics, it's time to put your new skills to the test! You'll have the unique opportunity to order your food entirely in Italian with Dodici’s friendly, Italian-speaking staff.
Whether you’re prepping for an upcoming trip to Rome, wanting to connect with your heritage, just love great food and culture, or just want to try something that pushes you a little outside your comfort zone, this space is for you. All levels, even absolute beginners, are welcome. Just bring an open mind.
What to Expect:
The Warm-Up: Sip your bubbly, meet fellow culture lovers, and get a quick breakdown of Italian dining etiquette.
The "Lab": Learn how to decode an Italian menu, ask for recommendations, and order like a local.
The Immersion: Put the books away! Order your meal directly from the staff using your new skills in a supportive, fun environment.
Note: One glass of Prosecco or non-alcholic bubbly is included in the ticket price. Food and additional drinks are not included and can be purchased directly from Dodici during the event.
