Opening on the 23rd of March in Katikati, this photography exhibition is my way of sharing how the natural world feels, rather than how it simply looks.These images begin in real places and are of real things, but they aren’t about documenting them exactly as they are. Instead, I use a range of in-camera creative techniques - intentional movement, multiple exposures, shifting focus, and working closely with changing light - to reflect the environment in a more abstract way and to give a sense of what the moment feels like, whether it’s the sunset after the storm or the light on the early morning dew. In some instances I use elements of nature to create a whole new landscape image that doesn't exist in the real world.
