HOSTED BY THE ART MEETUP X THE BLENDED GARDEN

The Blended Garden\

Spend a fall Saturday in a Queens garden with artists, musicians, plant lovers, creatives, and neighbors. The space is a quiet backyard garden tucked between homes, full of late season flowers, herbs, warm soil, and the kind of warmth you only get in Queens.
This is a gathering meant to slow you down, reconnect you to people, and make you feel part of something growing.
Someone will be greeting guests at the entrance when you arrive. If you want to volunteer, come at 2 PM to help with setup and welcoming.
We will harvest seeds, make art, put food on the grill, play music, prepare the garden for winter, and gather for a community open mic. You can collect sunflower, shiso, Russian sage, and wildflower seeds. You can paint on repurposed canvases, use upcycled art materials, or bring your own supplies for a craft.
Tools, gloves, and materials will be provided. No gardening or art experience is needed.
The Blended Garden team will be around to guide you.
If it rains, we will adjust activities but still gather.

FOOD AND DRINKS
Food will be catered and available for ten dollars. Guests may also bring food to put on the grill. Charcoal will be provided. Guests who are twenty one or older may bring their own beverages.
All cash proceeds collected during the event will support The Blended Garden and its community programs.
COME FOR THE GARDEN. STAY FOR THE PEOPLE.
The driveway will be used for chalk art and other creative activities. Children are welcome, though the gathering is generally intended for guests who are eighteen or older.
The energy is relaxed and welcoming, more like a garden house party than a formal event. Wander, create, eat, listen to music, meet someone new, or simply spend time outside with us.
Limited seating is available. You are welcome to bring a blanket or chair.
You do not need to perform. You do not need to bring artwork. You do not need to know anyone before you arrive. Drop in for an hour or stay for the afternoon.
OPEN MIC
The community open mic will be held from 4 to 8 PM on a small backyard porch. There will be two microphones and limited seating.
Musicians, poets, writers, and performers should arrive early if they would like to participate. Sign up is first come, first served.
Visual artists are also welcome to bring work to display throughout the garden. Guests can enjoy art, harvesting, food, and the outdoor space between performances.
This will be The Art Meetup’s final open mic until 2027.

BATHROOM ACCESS
Guests may enter the house only through the front door to use the bathroom. Please return through the front door afterward. No one should walk through the house.
PUBLIC, DONATION BASED AND RSVP REQUIRED
This gathering is public and donation based. Every guest is welcome whether or not you can contribute.
If you are able to give, choose a donation ticket when you register. If you believe in accessible arts and community care, choose a donation ticket.
Donations help cover event supplies, support the garden, and create opportunities for local artists while helping us keep community programming accessible.
Donating guests can take home seasonal harvest goodies while supplies last.
Space is limited because we are gathering in a private community garden. Our last garden gathering reached capacity. The exact Queens address will only be shared with registered guests.
Street parking is available, and the nearest bus stop is a short walk away.
Register for your ticket before coming:

Ticket registration will close on October 17 at 11 AM.
VOLUNTEER AND SUPPORT
Volunteers should arrive at 2 PM to help with setup, welcome guests, and keep the space comfortable throughout the afternoon.
Donations of gardening supplies, art materials, food, and beverages are also appreciated.
