A Seat at Her Table

International Women's Day Event in support of Our Village - Gracie's Wine Room

10am-12pm

A Seat at Her Table is an intimate International Women’s Day gathering hosted by Maddison Sullivan-Thorpe and Kelsie Gaffey, featuring a panel discussion with Laura Henshaw (Co-Founder and former CEO, KIC), Natassia Nicolao (Founder, Conserving Beauty) and Claire Walczak (Partner & Accredited Family Law Specialist, Lander & Rogers).

Together, they’ll lead thoughtful, honest conversations around ambition, independence, power, money, wellbeing and modern womanhood.

Join us to celebrate International Women’s Day through open, honest conversation. Over considered discussion, we’ll explore what it really means to take up space, protect your future and build lives and careers on your own terms, while coming together in support of Our Village, a grassroots organisation uplifting babies, children, and families across Victoria.

Charity Partner: Our Village is a grassroots Victorian charity supporting babies and children in need while reducing waste. Working alongside social workers and maternal and child health nurses, they collect and rehome essential baby and children’s items so safe, quality goods reach families who need them most.Powered by community, Our Village supports more than 20,000 babies and children across Victoria each year. All ticket sales from this event directly support their work.

Panelists

Laura Henshaw is the co-founder and former CEO of KIC, one of Australia’s leading health and wellness platforms built around sustainable movement, mental wellbeing, and body confidence. With a background in personal training and digital media, Laura helped grow KIC from a grassroots idea into a category-defining app, podcast, and global community.Beyond the business, Laura is a prominent cultural voice, regularly challenging diet culture and outdated gender norms. She’s become a trusted voice in conversations about autonomy, confidence, and what healthy ambition looks like today.

Natassia Nicolao is the founder of Conserving Beauty, a Melbourne-based skincare brand pioneering waterless beauty to reduce the industry’s environmental footprint. With a Bachelor of Science degree and a background in ethical sourcing, supply chain transparency, and product development, she launched the brand in 2021 after identifying how heavily beauty relies on water at every stage of the product lifecycle.

Under Natassia’s leadership, Conserving Beauty launched the world’s first fully dissolvable makeup wipes, quickly going viral and selling out within weeks. Backed by Australia’s first all-female board, including Elle Macpherson, the brand won the Business of Fashion Social Impact Award (2024), and Natassia was named in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia (Retail & Ecommerce, 2024), Natassia continually redefines how science, sustainability, and modern beauty can coexist.

Claire Walczak is an accredited specialist in family law and partner at Lander & Rogers, where she practises exclusively in family and relationship law. She’s known for her clear, commercial approach and for helping women feel informed, confident, and financially secure during complex life transitions.

Currently completing her MBA at Melbourne Business School, she brings a modern, business-literate lens to family law, making her insights especially relevant for women navigating careers, relationships, and long-term independence.

Kelsie Gaffey is the founder of Gracie’s Wine Room, a Melbourne wine bar celebrated for its thoughtful hospitality, strong sense of community, and modern approach to wine culture and most recently Gracie's Space.
