A Salute to Veterans w/Nashville PBS & WCTE PBS

Nashville PBS and WCTE PBS invite you to a special Veterans Day event featuring two original documentaries that illuminate the experiences of America’s veterans.

Aging Matters: Aging With Honor, produced by Nashville PBS, highlights the stories of older veterans and the ways they may struggle with changes in roles, responsibilities, and relationships.

Defusing the Silence, produced by WCTE PBS, examines the unspoken challenges veterans face during and after their service.

Following the screening, producers Suzy Hence (WNPT) and Daniel Duarte (WCTE PBS) will offer insights into the making of these films and the stories behind them. They will be joined by Commissioner Tommy Baker of the Tennessee Department of Veterans Services and Kristin Starling, president of SongwritingWith:Soldiers.
