Join us May 25th at 11am on the front lawn of the West Plains Civic Center. This will be the reveal of our community’s Veteran Memorial Banners. They are displayed throughout downtown in honor of the brave men and women who have served our country.This project was created as a Girl Scout Gold Award in partnership with the city and AMVETS to recognize and remember local veterans through personalized memorial banners that will proudly hang throughout downtown beginning Memorial Day.
The ceremony will include:
• A proclamation from the Mayor
• Remarks about the project and the veterans being honored
• Refreshments provided by AMVETS (more details to come)
• An opportunity to stroll through downtown and view the banners with family and friends
We invite the community to come together in remembrance, gratitude, and celebration of the heroes who have served our nation.
