A Restorative Sound Journey (Donation-Based)

Peace! I will be facilitating a sound journey on Sunday, February 23rd at 10am PST at Barnsdale Art Park (4800 Hollywood Blvd) in Los Angeles, CA. This is a donation-based experience so I invite you to give whatever love offering you feel called to.

During this experience, you will have the opportunity to learn more about sound therapy, participate in a full sound bath, and enjoy moments of stillness as we release what's no longer aligned and close out the year.

LOCATION

This offering will take place at Barnsdale Art Park (4800 Hollywood Blvd). You will enter the park in the lot on Hollywood Blvd. There is a hill that you will drive up to find the spot where we are. Please see FAQ section for more detailed directions to the group spot.

BENEFITS OF SOUND THERAPY

During this experience, you will have the opportunity to set intentions, experience a full sound bath, and fellowship with other beautiful souls all while practicing gratitude! Some of the benefits of this experience include:

ABOUT SOUND THERAPY

The sound bath will utilize crystal singing bowls and other acoustic instruments to

calm the mind and the body and help you attune to the mind-body connection. Sound

therapy is based on the premise of resonance, which means to vibrate at the same frequency as whatever instruments are being used to guide the experience. Some benefits of sound baths include decreased anxiety and stress, deep relaxation, improved sleep, and the energy centers (chakras) in the body coming into alignment.

WHAT TO BRING

You will need to bring an open mind, a blanket to sit or lie down on, water to hydrate, and paper or a journal and writing utensil. Other common companions are crystals/gemstones, essential oils, and eye masks. Feel free to bring whatever else you might need to feel safe and comfortable.

LA ADKINS, LCSW

LA (el-ay) Adkins (she/her/hers) also known as 'The Holistic Wellness Coach and Guide' is a creative and champion of solitude. She is also certified, studied, and trained as a Mindfulness Meditation Guide and a Sound Therapist. She is a licensed therapist (Licensed Clinical Social Worker - LCSW) and is a subject matter expert in mental health and holistic wellness. LA is the Founding Owner of Reconnect With You, PLLC, a private holistic mental health practice specializing in supporting entrepreneurs, professionals, and organizations/corporations.

She provides individual coaching, sound therapy, public speaking services, and she makes candles, all with a focus on holistic wellness. She has published a , which has an emphasis on supporting you in improving your relationship with yourself. She also delivered a .

LA has developed sound therapy sessions as a health and wellness offering for corporations, non-profit organizations, yoga and integrative wellness studios, universities, and on virtual platforms. She has facilitated sound therapy for several hundreds, and she has over 20 instruments that she uses in her sessions. LA brings her lived experience and over 11 years of professional experience working in public schools, non-profit settings, the legal field, higher education, and both state and federal government.

How LA shows up in the world is shaped by her personal values, which are accountability, authenticity, autonomy, integrity, justice, and transparency. She firmly believes that one's relationships with others are both an extension and reflection of the relationship one has with oneself, which is why she is so passionate about working with individuals to help them better understand and more fully accept themselves.
