Join University Libraries for the "Case of the Collection Caper: An Academic Affair," a mysterious, mayhem-filled Murder Mystery comedy starring students from our own University of South Carolina Department of Theatre and Dance! In conjunction with the Irvin Department of Rare Books’ current exhibit celebrating 100 years of Elmore Leonard, University Libraries invites you to join us for a murder mystery.
Murder, mayhem, and heavy hors d'oeuvres at Hollings Library: Faculty, staff and guests gather to celebrate the acquisition of an extremely rare item to the Irvin Department of Rare Books and Special Collections. This is the first time the mysterious item has ever been on display, and it is one of the most expensive items the library has ever received. When the Assistant Director calls for the item to be unveiled, it comes to light that the item is missing - and there is a dead body to go along with it. Hard-boiled detective Alex Palmer is called in to solve the case. But not everything is as it seems
Seats are limited, so please register. Hors d’oeuvres will be served.
This event is free and open to the public.
We would like to thank friend of the Libraries Bill Schmidt for his generous sponsorship of this event.
