Immerse yourself in the poetic worlds of four Montreal authors in this poetry evening at the Thomas More Institute. We are excited to welcome Willow Loveday Little, Jerome Ramcharitar, Matthew Rettino and Carolyne Van Der Meer, who will each bring their unique styles and stories to the evening as they read some of their latest work. Whether you are curious about poetry or a lifetime enthusiast, this evening invites you to discover poignant and heartfelt works on a variety of themes, from the palpable and mundane to the abstract and existential. Wine and cheese will be served.

About the authors:
Willow Loveday Little's work has appeared in such places as yolk literary, filling station, HA&L, The League of Canadian Poets chapbook series, Vallum, and On Spec. (Vice) Viscera is her first book. Willow is the editor at Cactus Press.
Matthew Rettino is a speculative fiction writer and poet. His debut poetry chapbook Pilgrimages (Cactus Press, 2025) is a journey through Scottish folklore and family history. He also has a forthcoming science fiction story in the anthology Unréal with AE: The Canadian Science Fiction Review. He has led courses on archaeology, fiction, and creative writing at the Thomas More Institute. You can usually find him in Montreal reading at the Accent Open Mic.
Carolyne Van Der Meer lives and writes in Montreal, Canada. She has five published books, including Motherlode: A Mosaic of Dutch Wartime Experience (WLUP, 2014), and the poetry collections Sensorial (Inanna, 2022) and All This As I Stand By (Ekstasis Editions, 2024). Two chapbooks have been released in 2025: Birdology, published by Cactus Press; and Sincerely, Sincerely, co-written with Rayanne Haines, and published by Agatha Press. She is currently working on a book of linked fictional vignettes.
